  • September 18 - 26 Brokaw, Boulder Hill, Old Post and Oswego East High School for the October 20 Board Meeting
  • October 15 - 24 East View Academy,  Prairie Point, Southbury and Oswego High School for the November 17 Board Meeting
  • November 6 - 14 Grande Park, Homestead, Wolf's Crossing and Murphy Junior High for the January 12 Board Meeting
  • January 15 - 23 Churchill, Long Beach, Plank Junior High and Thompson Junior High for the February 23 Board Meeting
  • February 12 - 20 Fox Chase, The Wheatlands, The GOAL Program and Bednarcik Junior High for the March 23 Board Meeting
  • March 12 - 20 Hunt Club, Lakewood Creek, Transition Center and Traughber Junior High for the April 28 Board Meeting
  • April 9 - 17 District Staff, Operations and Transportation for the May 11 Board Meeting
 
Please Note: Nominations submitted after the deadlines listed above will not be considered during the 2025-2026 School Year.
Staff appreciation can be submited through our Share a Smile program year-round.
 
The 2024-2025 school year saw the district’s PRIDE program receive over 1,500 nominations for teachers, teacher assistants, social workers, nurses, custodians, administrative assistants, and more!
Of those 1,500 nominations, the district was able to recognize 92 individuals as PRIDE winners, celebrating the hard work and dedication they provided to the staff and students of Oswego Community Unit School District 308.
 
What is the PRIDE Recognition Program?
Proudly Recognizing Individuals Demonstrating Excellence (PRIDE) Recognition Program was implemented in the fall of 2015 by the Board of Education to recognize, promote, and celebrate the many contributions made by teachers and employees of Oswego Community Unit School District 308.
 
Who can be recognized as a PRIDE winner?
  • Teachers and staff members are nominated by fellow SD 308 employees, students, parents, community members, or alumni through an online nomination form
  • District and building administrators are not eligible for nomination
  • Individuals who were recognized within the past 5 years, unless their roles within the district have changed, are not eligible
  • Self-nominations are not accepted
 
What is the nomination criteria?
  • Demonstrates exemplary commitment, accountability, enthusiasm and student-focus
  • Maintains helpful attitude and responsive behavior with encouraging words and actions
  • Respects and honors differences and similarities
  • Recognizes and appreciates being a partner in the educational success of each student
  • Advocates for the best interest of students
  • Takes pride in his/her work
  • Displays personal and professional integrity while continually challenging self and others
  • Demonstrates a commitment to professional growth through continuous professional learning
