1,418 PRIDE Nominations in the 2025-2026 school year for teachers, teacher assistants, social workers, nurses, custodians, administrative assistants, and more!
Of those 1,418 nominations, the district was able to recognize 92 individuals as PRIDE winners, celebrating the hard work and dedication they provided to the staff and students of Oswego Community Unit School District 308.
What is the PRIDE Recognition Program?
Proudly Recognizing Individuals Demonstrating Excellence (PRIDE) Recognition Program was implemented in the fall of 2015 by the Board of Education to recognize, promote, and celebrate the many contributions made by teachers and employees of Oswego Community Unit School District 308.
Who can be recognized as a PRIDE winner?
- Teachers and staff members are nominated by fellow SD 308 employees, students, parents, community members, or alumni through an online nomination form
- District and building administrators are not eligible for nomination
- Individuals who were recognized within the past 5 years, unless their roles within the district have changed, are not eligible
- Self-nominations are not accepted
What is the nomination criteria?
- Demonstrates exemplary commitment, accountability, enthusiasm and student-focus
- Maintains helpful attitude and responsive behavior with encouraging words and actions
- Respects and honors differences and similarities
- Recognizes and appreciates being a partner in the educational success of each student
- Advocates for the best interest of students
- Takes pride in his/her work
- Displays personal and professional integrity while continually challenging self and others
- Demonstrates a commitment to professional growth through continuous professional learning
